The Mongolian Family Welfare Association (MFWA) and China Family Planning Association (CFPA), Member Associations (MAs) of the International Planned Parenthood Federation, East & South Asia and Oceania Region (IPPF ESEAOR), signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to collaborate on enhancing sexual and reproductive health services to the vulnerable population of Mongolia and China. The MOU was signed by Mr. Ganbold Byambaa, President of MFWA and Yang Yuxue, Standing Vice President of CFPA.

Through the MOU, MFWA and CFPA have pledged to exchange ideas based on their respective experiences on how to enhance the quality of services they provide, as well as the accessibility of SRHR services, to the vulnerable population of Mongolia and China.

“This is an excellent opportunity for both our MAs to explore new opportunities in providing SRHR services and information to the vulnerable population in Mongolia and China. With historically strong ties and a relationship of trust and respect, we believe that this partnership will enable us to reach more women, men, and young people, increasing their access to the information and services they need,” Ms. Nora Murat, Regional Director, IPPF ESEAOR.

The MOU also includes information on the execution and implementation of tasks such as identifying beneficiaries, identifying possible locations for clinics with SRH services, and assigning staff who will facilitate the activities identified by both MFWA and CFPA. MFWA and CFPA will work together to ensure effective project management and resources utilization.
