Myanmar Maternal and Child Welfare Association (MMCWA)

Our Vision:
All Myanmar people enjoy quality of life, and are empowered to decide freely on their sexuality and well-being in a society free from discrimination.

Our Mission:
To lead a voluntary civil society movement, in creating a society where sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) needs of all are fulfilled, especially women and children through information and service delivery, advocacy, and partnership.

Myanmar Maternal and Child Welfare Association (MMCWA) was established in 1991 as a voluntary organization promoting the quality of life of families with a focus on health and well-being of mothers and children through awareness raising, service delivery, advocacy and partnership with local and international organizations.

We are the largest national NGO in Myanmar as well as a leading NGO in providing right-based SRH services across the country through 130 Maternity Homes and community outreach activities.

On average, Maternity Homes deliver SRH related services (Contraception, STI, HIV/AIDS, Obstetrics, etc.) to over 200,000 Clients yearly. Even in case of emergency, MMCWA could reach to the communities in affected areas with the help of its volunteer to provide the basic SRH services and psychosocial support.

We are always committed to contribute to the achievement of National Health Plan and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
