Deadline

The IPPF Sub-Regional Office for the Pacific, based in Suva, Fiji, is seeking a skilled consultant or team to lead values clarification workshops with IPPF Member Associations in nine countries across the Pacific.

Values clarification is a process where individuals are supported to engage in honest, open-minded and critical reflection of their personal belief systems and behavioural patterns to challenge deeply-held assumptions. It is based on the knowledge that values affect attitudes and beliefs about abortion and related SRHR issues and that values can change over time in response to new experiences and a deeper understanding of the issues and context. Undertaking values clarification supports participants to articulate and/or transform the personal values they hold around abortion and to act in a manner consistent with these affirmed values. In doing so, it seeks to change entrenched attitudes, intentions and behaviours that may impact the delivery of quality abortion services.

This contract will involve a contractor running a series of workshops (2 days duration) that support staff members of the nine MAs in the Pacific to undertake values clarification around abortion and other SRH issues.

Proposals can be submitted by an individual or an organisation. To apply, please submit the following:

  • CV(s) of trainers.
  • A cover letter that directly addresses the TOR (maximum 2 pages).
  • Proposed methodology (1 page)
  • Fees/daily rate for total work based on methodology.
  • Availability during the proposed duration of the contract.

Please address the application to Ms. Karen Hill, Director,  Sub-Regional Office of the Pacific (SROP), Suva, Fiji.
