To strengthen recognition of SRHR, including policy and legislation which promotes, respects, protects and fulfils these rights

To achieve greater public support for government commitment and accountability of SRHR

To raise the priority on SRHR on the development agenda resulting in an increase in resources

CHALLENGES

The intensified attacks and increasing strength of neo-conservative and fundamentalist groups and nation states hamper efforts to promote SRH

The problematic funding environment poses challenges in making explicit the links of SRH with poverty

Other priorities, including some health issues, have pushed sexual and reproductive health and rights off to one side of the international development agenda

Fragmentation of global SRH advocacy efforts and a lack of overall systematic coordination

Poor monitoring and evaluation of advocacy work
