Vietnam Family Planning Assocaition (VINAFPA) celebrated their 15th Anniversary in Hanoi on 23 June 2008 and commemorated the special milestone in VINAFPA’s history. VINAFPA has grass-root networks in 49 of the 64 provinces/cities in country and served the poor, the marginalized, ethnic minorities, adolescents and young people, fulfilling their SRH and rights.
Besides, the celebration in Hanoi, 10 provinces had also organized events integrating activities to enhance the image of VINAFPA in country as a leading organization in SRH and rights.
Dr. Raj Karim, Regional Director of IPPF ESEAOR congratulated VINAFPA’s 15th Anniversary and in her message expressed her appreciation of VINAFPA. She commented VINAFPA for their unique position as the largest NGO network service provider of quality of care, youth friendly SRH services and outreach services for the disadvantaged and marginalized groups in the country. The Vice Minister of Vietnam Ministry of Health, and senior officials of Government and other international and local organizations, more than 100 volunteers and staff of VINAFPA and mass media representative participated in the celebration.
