The International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF) is a global network of Member Associations working in 170 countries, and the world’s foremost voluntary, non-governmental provider and advocate of sexual and reproductive health and rights for all.
The East and South East Asia and Oceania Region (ESEAOR) office, based in Kuala Lumpur, is one of IPPF’s six regional offices. The IPPF ESEAO Regional Office works to build and strengthen capacities of its Member Associations (MAs) and collaborating partners in 26 countries to be both advocates and providers of sexual and reproductive health within a rights-based framework.
ESEAOR’s Member Associations currently provide sexual and reproductive health including HIV counselling, information and services through 11,552 service outlets in 26 countries which are carried out by staff and volunteers. ESEAOR’s mandate includes a specific focus on young people especially girls and ensures their access to services. IPPF’s policies emphasise empowerment and informed choice–choices about family planning, safer sex, accessing comprehensive treatment, care, and support.
IPPF-ESEAOR is currently seeking a dynamic and motivated student to be based at our Regional Office in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia as an Intern. The position is open to students currently pursuing their under-graduate studies in the field of mass communication/public relations/journalism/public health/social sciences or any other relevant field. The internship period may range from 3 to 6 months based on the academic calendar of your institution. Please find attached the terms of reference (TOR) of the internship for your perusal.
